DP24SD
Hello everyone, I’m 64 and I play guitar, sing and record most of my life. I had a mini stroke 3 years ago and now I struggle a bit understanding things that used to be 2nd nature. I just purchased a DP24SD and I am having some issues finding step by step instructions on how to use vocal effects in real time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to tascamforums.com, @Nunyabiz.

You've started your thread in the Model 24/16/12 forum. These are essentially Front-of-House mixers with recording capability.

[DP-24SD]...step by step instructions on how to use vocal effects in real time...
There's a separate forum dedicated to the 2488, DP-24/32/SD Portastudios. In the sticky threads at the top of that forum, you'll find the "Tutorial and Informational Videos For DP-32/24/32SD/24SD " sticky thread created by moderator Phil Tipping; "The Definitive Summary of Effects" sticky thread, also by Phil Tipping; and the related "Video Tutorials Discussion" sticky thread.

Phil has some videos at the start of the series (tutorial #3, #5 and #8, I think in the July 2021 index) that address using the portastudio as a basic 8-track mixer; and a video on using the Send Effects function. His videos and posts are very easy to follow (much more so than the owner manual), and will be a tremendous resource for you.

But I very strongly recommend starting in that forum with the "Please Read This First" sticky thread that has absolutely essential information for using your portastudio.

At some point down the road after you've had some time with your DP-24SD, I recommend reviewing the indexes of the sticky threads dedicated to "Equipment Tips"; and "Production Tips".

Your DP-24SD is a great all-inclusive tool for music creation; and if you ever get stumped by a situation that the sticky threads or a forum search don't provide an answer for, we're happy to give it our best to help resolve.

We're going to need more information about what it is you're trying to do.
