Hey, I‘m trying to figure something out here, and all I could find in old threads was the question, if one could route the Stereo Mix back into one’s DAW of choice.
And the solutions always seemed to be to take some unoccupied Channels and use them as return channels :)
My question is now, would it be possible to route the FireWire Outs in my DAW into the Channels on my DM, mix through them and then return all 32 (or 30, minus the stereo sum) back into the FireWire inputs in my DAW?
And all that without creating a nasty feedback loop?

Because I‘d love to mix though my console but still being able to change things afterwards, if the client isn‘t completely satisfied.
I‘m new to the world of digital consoles, I only ever worked on analog mixers, so there is a lot of question marks still existing ^^
I hope it’s clear what I mean, and any help would be appreciated:D
Have a nice Tuesday ;)

I can do that? :D
Oh wow, as I said, I‘m quite new in the digital area ^^
That would solve the problem, that’s true ^^

And to your original question: Yes, you can do that too. In your DAW, send out the 32 tracks or channels to your FW Outs, do on the mixer what you like, assign each mixer channel to a FW out (DAW in) channel and create 32 new tracks to record these. Just make sure monitoring of these incoming channels is OFF: no feedback..

But saving the snapshots (including DAW or mixer automation) is the easier option :)
